About me
I’m Jordan Miller, the founder of BodyFatCalculator.us. I built the site to give people a fast, free way to estimate their body fat and understand what the numbers actually mean — without a gym membership, an expensive scan, or a signup.
My focus is making body-composition measurements easy to read and act on. Most people can get hold of a tape measure and a scale; the harder part is knowing what a result says about health and fitness, and how one number relates to another. That’s the gap I built this site to close.
What I oversee
I oversee the site’s calculators and the plain-language guides that go with each one:
- The body fat calculator and the body fat percentage chart
- Lean body mass and FFMI
- The body recomposition calculator
- The waist-to-height and waist-to-hip ratio tools
- The military standards tools for the Army and the Navy
How I make the content
Every calculator is built on a published formula, and every guide cites its sources — including the CDC, NIH, the American Council on Exercise, NICE, and official U.S. military guidance. When a standard changes, I update the page to match the current rule.
